LET IT GO

In today's post, I will start with one of my favourite quotes by Will Smith. I know by now y'all already know I love quotes lol...
"Throughout Life people will make you mad, disrespect you and treat you bad. Let God deal with the things they do, cause hate in your heart will consume you too"
We make decisions every day and some of the decisions we make include staying happy and loving regardless of what we see and what goes on around us. As simple as the message in the quote is, we are sometimes pushed to the point of allowing hate to dominate our hearts. It's the real truth which a lot of people may shy away from acknowledging. We face diverse forms of ill treatments and disrespect on a daily basis, either at work, home, in our relationships with people, etc. But it's our choice to make the decision either to allow God to deal with things that are out of our control or get engulfed in hate. It's up to you. When you allow hate in to your heart it makes you a prisoner, and you lose all essence of peace. It consumes its victims indeed because it makes you a slave to your reactions, and once hate dominates, you will struggle to enjoy life for ever.
I'm not referring to hatred when people say ‘I hate it when this happens’ that kind of hate when your umbrella blows out, but the out and out hatred of another person. No matter the type of situation you may have found yourself in that may have resulted in the hate in your heart, just know that it is harming you physically, emotionally, and mentally. So many times I've been pushed to the wall by different people I've met in life, my first reaction is usually to be resentful, but after a while I just let it go for my own good because I genuinely want to enjoy every day of my life. Another special way of dealing with the thoughts of hate is by letting God know about how you feel through prayers. It’s therapeutic because it eases your mind knowing you have brought it to the attention of a higher authority.
I do hope this message helps some one break away from the shackles of hate.

  3. Yup! Hate is unnecessary and unhealthy, physically and emotionally, and not letting go is simply an 'emotional constipation'!
