Congratulations to Lewis Hamilton for clinching his second drivers' world championship with a comfortable victory in the season-ending Abu Dhabi grand pix. Now the fourth Britain to win two world titles.
Well done Lewis and more success in the future. Xphoto credit: bbc.co.uk

I was so nervous before the race, i just wondered how he was himself. Nico was doing all the talking and trying to pile the pressure on Lewis all weekend. Hamilton to his credit remained calmed and preferred to do the talking on the tracks. My heart almost leapt out through my mouth on the formation lap when LH said on his radio to his engineers that his RRMP was low. I went ''OH GOD!'',,,,,and then the lights went out. What a start!, what a driver LH is!. He fully deserved the championship, his second and a long overdue one in my opinion because he is the best driver of this generation. I'll put Fernando Alonso in that bracket as well.
ReplyDeleteHe controlled the race from taking the lead from Rosberg at the start and even though Nico lost power at some point, he was never going to catch Lewis anyway. The best man won the title and credit to Rosberg for going into the podium holding room to personally congratulate Lewis. That impressed me. All in all, it was a perfect weekend for me from the sports' point of view. Man utd won at Arsenal, Roger Federer won the Davis cup with Switzerland for the ist time, LH won his 2nd F1 title and to cap it off, Liverpool were soundly beaten by Crystal Palace.
Excuse my typo ''remained calm.....''
